Sonic in the Labyrinth Zone. Of the Sonic Fix series thus far, I think this one makes the best use of the screencap background, and really looks like a scene in the game due to the reduced pallate. I worked especially hard on the enemies in this one, but the smaller Jaws looks a bit silly. I enjoyed "stretching" the larger one into a more aggressive pose than he usually appears in.
Havent seen those guys in along time! I hated that zone, it was a pain in the but for me(Still is)

I like the way all of the adversaries and obstacles rush at Sonic all at once while he is already in a pickle (He can't breathe under water, after all) - And, this picture is a metaphor for life. Life can feel pretty lousy when all these problems starts beating one up at the same time!

Nope, no tutorials, but it's pretty straightforward. I usually do my coloring in OpenCanvas, because I like the "handling" of its color brushes. It's very easy to just lay down colors, pick up "variant" shades with the eyedrop tool, and blend between them by hand. I don't use any fancy layer tools for general coloring, I just splat the colors down, shadows and highlights alike, until I'm satisfied.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I just draw what I draw. If you like it, that's fine. If you don't like it...
...that's fine, too.
