I know I don't reply to comments very often but I do want to thank everyone who's commented on (or favorited) my other Sonic pictures, it's really great to know that people are enjoying them. (you can look at my other pics too!)

For this one I took a cue from my last GHZ one and went with the vertical format again, but the colors are bolder and it looks a bit more "conventional" to me, like the other had a faintly storybook quality about it with the lighter airy colors. It's certainly not as scary as the previous Marble Zone picture either, but hopefully it's still got the look. I swore after that I'd never do lava like I did last time either, that was quite the effect (rather gooky) but soooo time consuming, there was no way I was doing that again! I'm a little uneasy about the white area "borders," I think they're stylish and cool, but certainly keep the space from feeling claustrophobic, and with Marble Zone, maybe that's a thing that you want.

I showed the lineart to ~el-hazard and he excitedly commented on the "rogue" Yadorin, but on seeing the UFOs he calmly noted "ah, Beta." It terrifies me to think of this as "Beta Fanart." What next, "Hoax Fanart?" I just always remember those early pictures of Sonic (I saw a lot of them back in the magazines they were originally printed in) and consider it an interesting quality of Sonic's universe that maybe Marble Zone has UFOs in it. I mean, why not? They probably only come out while Sonic's underground.
