Artist's Comments

The thrilling conclusion!

I added a little guy for third place. Somehow it doesn't seem odd to me that he shows up with no prior introduction.

The idea for this has been kicking around in my head for a long time now before I was able to neatly distill it down to 12 panels. Also, I wanted to try my hand at doing a strip every day for a few days, to see if I could manage the time, which apparently I did, though three days is not really very many! What did you think?

:D I thought the strip was quite cute, and even more enjoyable that you didn't really need dialogue to tell the story!

All I can do is try...I just hope I do my best.

I find that silent comics are often really entertaining! Or even the chunks of normal comics that just go a few pages without saying anything at all, those are really interesting and rather atmospheric if done right.

I agree that silent comics are entertaining, not every story is told by words

Don't forget 9/11! :salute:

I think the little guy in third place is what makes this shine ^.^

I would add some advance critique commentary to this but...I really don't have any.

Thanks :) He really just felt right!

I only throw the advanced crit on there just to make sure no one holds back, I haven't made a comic in forever so I worry a little about my "sequential art" ;)

Hahaha, I love your dinosaurs. So cartoony, yet still dinosaur enough that an archaeologist(sp?) would be able to tell the species apart. The 4th panel is my favorite... I love the bandage on the brontosaurus fellow, proves he went through that bridge last strip. Yowch!

Slinky + Escalator = Infinite Fun.
:icongsilverfish:
Thanks! That balance of cartoony realism is really important to me. :)

Regarding the bandage, he may have been bitten. :) (They are both acceptably interpretations though!)

A good silent comic/film just shows how much skill the artist has. He (or she) is able to convey his (or her) ideas clearly without having to tell you what is going on, and that is a great thing.

Good work.
